A Chinese film crew decides to shoot a movie in a small Polish town. The Chinese Producers perceive the Poles as an exceptionally sad nation and what they need is European extras with gloomy faces. However, events that take place on set enable the reconsideration of stereotypes and taking a look at oneself from a distance. They also bring together representatives of such different cultures.
